Kulturelle Vielfalt erleben: Erasmus-Projekt „CRAFT“ in Finnland! 🇫🇮

Erasmus Project in Finland (Kajaani region)

CRAFT: Cultural Richness in Art, Folklore, and Tradition

The CRAFT project brings together students from Paltamo, Finland; Gothenburg, Sweden; and Hallein, Austria to explore cultural identity through architecture, music, design, and the values of the European Union.

The project contains both, historical and contemporary cultural elements, focusing on key aspects such as art, literature, democracy, and design. A central question guides our exploration:
Where do we come from, and where are we going to?

Our goal is to understand how cultural heritage and modern creative expressions shape our way of life and thinking. Our key themes include:

  • National identity in a democratic society
  • Cultural identity within the European Union and globalization
  • Preserving European cultural heritage

Through various activities, we aim to deepen our knowledge of history, craftsmanship, and the diversity of European cultures.

Right now we are on a Mobility to Paltamo where students are hosted from local families.

Finnish hospitality is genuine and warm. We are impressed by the vastness of Finland and the countless lakes in the Kajaani region, even though they are currently frozen.
